Jurisdiction & Member Agencies
Sacramento Central Groundwater Authority’s (SCGA) jurisdiction covers a large portion of the South American Subbasin (SASb) in Sacramento County, an area that includes urban neighborhoods, agricultural land, and natural open spaces. SCGA's membership includes public agencies, private water purveyors, and groundwater users from multiple sectors, all of whom rely on sustainable groundwater to support their communities and operations.
This section outlines SCGA’s jurisdictional boundaries and introduces the entities represented on the Board of Directors. By coordinating across local governments, industry, and landowners, SCGA ensures that groundwater decisions are informed by those who depend on this critical resource every day.
