Annual Reports & 5-Year Evaluations
Under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) must submit annual reports to the Department of Water Resources (DWR) summarizing groundwater conditions, pumping estimates, and project implementation.
SCGA must also complete a five‑year periodic evaluation to assess whether the GSP remains effective and whether updates or amendments are necessary.
These evaluations review:
- Groundwater level trends
- Basin storage conditions
- Monitoring network performance
- Project implementation progress
- New scientific information or regulatory guidance
